Example 1: Simulated diffusion of one species of ion.

Example 2: Simulated diffusion of two species of ions.

Example 3: Simulated diffusion of two species of ions with the presence of a semi-permeable membrane. The membrane is permeable to red ions but is impermeable to blue ions.

Example 4: Simulated diffusion of two species of ions with the presence of a semi-permeable membrane (permeable to red ions only). The potential across the membrane produced by the red ions is calculated. The Nernst potential, which is the membrane potential achieved when the membrane is in thermodynamic equilibrium, for this case is V=0 mV.
