MRI information Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a technology for visualizing biological tissues non-invasively. When used to visualize the heart, the technology produces two-dimensional images in which cardiac tissue appears white or light gray while the surrounding medium is black. A series of closely spaced two-dimensional images can be obtained and combined to form a three-dimensional structure.
Use the slider on the figure to move the plane up and down along the long axes of the heart and correlate the heart with its corresponding MRI picture.
